The conventional parties, as well as the off-brand Libertarian, Constitutional, and nativist parties are so enmired in materialistic trappings of the metrics of possessions that their advocates and operatives discount, degrade, and denigrate those whose forms of expression do not mix and match with their agendas of self-seeking and self-serving.
An altruistic humaneness considers the practical context of the individual's intangible, as well as their primary maintenance needs beyond the "-isms". Such altruistic humanity seeks to rise above the narrow, provincial, and selfish short-term gains to the truly, philanthropic, intangible benefits for all, and not to one's own status, satiation or indulgence.
As carnal animals we are hormonally driven for many of our instinctive, motivational drives. There does come a time when we become cognizant of those drives beyond being overwhelming compulsions. At that moment of cognizance we should use that point to launch ourselves from the narrow self-servic of ourseles to the general good for the situation.
This is not occuring with many of the proponents and operatives of the political class today. This includes those whose apologetics for "progress" accomodates the corrupting and dissembling means of the source pathology.
John the Baptist went out to the wilderness, not so much for any self-righteous fundamentalism. He went out there so that his expressions would be forms not based on the polluted cultures and their trappings of the population centers. An altruistic humanity will not be found out in the streets or the forms derived fromthe street. It will be rediscovered in the solitude of one's humanity and the appreciation of the integrity of the solitudinal space given to other entities.
